November 2019 Vote No New Taxes

Protect Our Neighborhoods
Vote NO Stanton Measures A & B

Vote NO on Measure A
Stanton Measure A will promote a "black market" of illegal pot sales and illegal activity in our residential neighborhoods, apartment complexes, condo associations, mobile home parks, etc. And our city attorney already said "All revenue from this tax would be deposited into the City’s General Fund and could be used for general City operations and services..." so the tax will not be reserved for police or fire services. Vote No on Measure A and B. Keep our neighborhoods safe, keep our home values up, and no more taxes!

Protect Our Home Values
Vote NO Stanton Measures A & B

Vote NO on Measure B
Stanton Measure B is a tax on residential homes, mobile homes, and any building a person can stay in. It’s not just a tax on hotels. And our city attorney already said "All revenue from this tax would be deposited into the City’s General Fund and could be used for general City operations and services..." so the tax will not be reserved for police or fire services. Save Our Stanton
Father of Stanton's high taxes

Vote NO on Measures A and B
- We uncovered Stanton City Council's secret closed session meeting negotiating a $15,000,000 (15 million dollars) real estate deal!
- We uncovered Stanton City Council taking $5,000,000 (five million dollars) out of the general fund instead of using it for our 9-1-1 Safety Services!
- We uncovered Stanton City Council paying $350,000 to our city manager for just 8 months of work!
- We uncovered that many of our own City Council Members have been funding campaigns to increase our taxes for many years!
- We uncovered that Stanton City Hall paid out ONE MILLION DOLLARS to just 4 city employees in 2018!

Our City

Leadership

Kevin Carr will bring our Stanton city taxes back down to the levels of nearby unincorporated areas like Rossmoor, Midway City, and the Anaheim Islands.

Homelessness

Kevin Carr will continue homeless programs, work to bring back good jobs, and reduce our high Stanton city taxes. This will get people off the streets and into good jobs.

Safety Services

Kevin Carr's number one priority is supporting our Sheriffs and Fire Fighters as well as eliminating homelessness, prostitution, and graffiti.

Our Economy

Defending Proposition 13

Kevin Carr defeated Stanton's 1997 parcel tax, the 2012 Stanton Utility Tax increase, and the recent trash fee increase. Kevin Carr campaigned against our 2001 Utility Tax, 2014 tax increase, and our sewer fee increases. This has saved YOUR household hundreds of dollars each year!

Jobs & Employment

Kevin Carr will continue his business friendly vision by bringing employers with good jobs back to Stanton. Replacing our commercial spaces with high-density housing is hurting our employment opprotunities and chances of bringing good jobs to our community.

Housing vs. Infrastructure

In our area we are running out of water, electricity flex-alerts are too frequent, too many high-particulate air quality alerts, and natural gas is below normal levels. The freeways are jammed. Building more high-density housing in Stanton is not what we need right now.

Around Town

Food, Restaurants, Fun

Red Robin, Sizzler, Mimi's, Acapulco, Ralph's, Albertsons, Edwards Cinema, Golfland, Mario's, Burger King, China King, El Ranchito Market... It's time to bring them all back!

Neighborhood Safety

Kevin Carr will continue his work with our neighboring city of Anaheim on our safety issues on Cerritos Avenue and Beach Blvd. as well.

Quality Of Life

Kevin Carr is proud of our new Central Park and will continue citywide programs for our seniors, children, and after school activities.
